(Charlestown, Nevis) --- The Mingles Restaurant which recently closed down earlier this year in May has reopened for business under new management with the new name Sunset Beach Club.
According to Sunset Beach Club owner, Mr. Livingston Liburd the short closure was geared at improving upon the service and facility.  Liburd was also part owner of the original Mingles which opened on March 14th, 2006.
Liburd now owns and manages the property along with his business partner Mr. Abdue Hill who has over 30 years experience in international cuisine and who Liburd credits as extremely proficient in the restaurant business.
While not officially open the Sunset Beach Club which houses a restaurant, beach bar and soundstage will be officially launched to the general public on a date which is yet to be announced.
However, this will not deter Liburd and Hill from hosting an inaugural Caribbean Fiesta on Saturday where they will showcase local cuisines on the beach front property.

“I have been involved with the Mingles restaurant for a year and I saw the potential in it for good business with the beach front location.

It has a natural water pond and that runs straight through the property with a sanctuary for birds and different species and I was motivated just by being on the property to do business there”, said Liburd during a brief interview with SKNVibes.com.

He continued, “Aside from cuisine we also do entertainment and we have a soundstage which the band ‘Friends’ (for which I play base and currently manage) has played on over the past couple years.”
The Sunset Beach Club’s calendar of events include S.A.S. Sounds After Sunset which will take place every Sunday and feature R& B, Reggae, Calypso with concentration on Latin and Caribbean Jazz. Further on Thursday nights they will host ‘Open Mike’ where persons can come out to sing karaoke or recite poetry and on Friday nights they will also host ‘House of Blues’ which will showcase blues music.
To culminate the year the Sunset Beach Club will also be hosting Art Pelau which they hope will highlight dance, poetry, music and the arts in general.
