    The High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force would like to thank the public for its corporation and response to its request with regards to their security over the holiday weekend.
     
    From all appearance thus far this proactive initiative proved successful in decrease the number of reports with regards to reported breakings.
     
    We look forward to your continued support will endeavor to shoulder our responsibilities with diligence and fervor. 

    The following persons were arrested and charged between 4th and 8th August 2007;

     

    ·         Ingle Boon of Half Way Tree was charged with the offences of “Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon”,Battery” and “Resisting Arrest”.                                                        ~~Adz:Right~~

     

    ·         A sixteen-year-old male of Basseterre was charged with the offence of “Being Found in an Enclosed Premise for some unlawful purpose committed on 2nd August 2007 at New Pond Site.
     
    ·         Darren Phillip of Upper Cayon was charged with the offence of “Malicious Damage” committed on 4th August 2007.
     
    ·         A sixteen-year-old male of Basseterre was charged with the offense of “House Breaking and Larceny committed on 14th February 2007.
     
    ·         Ashton Ferdinand of Conaree was charged with the offences of “Making Use of Threatening Language”, Assault” and “Making Use of Insulting Language”.
     
    ·         Shavron Jeffers of Lower Cayon was charged with the offences ofCarrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon”, committed on 3rd August 2007 at Basseterre.
     
    ·         A seventeen-year-old male of Basseterre was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 3rd August 2007 at New Pond Site.
    On Sunday 5th August 2007, officers of the Sandy Point Police Station uprooted (133) one hundred and thirty-three cannabis plants found growing in the Godwin Ghaut area. The plants ranged between two (2) and (13) thirteen inches in height. No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the plants found.

    At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Wednesday 8th August 2007 Mike Seminic of Golf View, Frigate Bay was convicted on a charge of “Malicious Damage” committed between 7th and 8th January 2007 at Frigate Bay. He was subsequently fined $1,000.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment.\

     

    On Wednesday 8th August 2007, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones performed an autopsy on the body of the late Clive Williams formerly of Old Road Village. Dr. Jones stated that death was caused by gun shot injury to the abdomen with hemorrhage and shock.
     
    To date no one has been charged with Williams’ death however investigations are ongoing.
    At approximately 2:30 a.m. on 9th August 2007, officers of the Strike Force Unit responded to a report of a breaking at Adlam Street, Basseterre. There the officers observed two (2) adult male inside of an office on the second floor of a building. The men both tried to escape and Damian Harris of Salt Pond Alley, Basseterre was captured at Bank Street. Harris was captured wearing a pair of black gloves and also had a screw driver in his possession. A seventeen-year-old male was also apprehended and taken into custody in connection with the breaking.
