Police Press Release
    At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday 11th August 2007, officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force concluded a four (4) hour island wide operation to enforce traffic regulations and to stop and search persons suspected of being engaged in criminal activity.  
    As a result of the operation, one hundred and seventeen (117) persons and twenty-eight (28) vehicles were stopped and searched while twelve (12) traffic tickets were issued for various offences.
     
    Four (4) person(s) were arrested charged with offences such as “Possession of Controlled Drugs” and “Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon” to wit knifes and a machete while a mask was also taken into Police Custody.  ~~Adz:Right~~

    The high command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis would like to thank the public for its corporation and patience during such exercises as it continues to enforce the laws of the land, and to ensure that citizens and visitors continue to feel safe and go about their daily business peacefully.

     

    The following persons were arrested and charged between 9th and 12th August 2007;

     

    ·         Damian Harris of Salt Pond Alley and a seventeen (17) year old male of Shadwell Estate were charged with the offence of “Building Breaking with Intent” committed on 9th August 2007 at Adlam Street.
     
    ·         Michael Prentice and Kwesi Adams of Lower Monkey Hill, were each charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on Friday 10th August 2007 at Shadwell.
     
    ·         Jermaine “Blackie” Browne of Conaree Village was charged with the offence of “Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm” committed on 3rd June 2007 at Conaree Village.
     
    ·         Damian Murray Kelly of Stone Fort Estate was charged with the offence of “Wounding” committed on 28th July 2007.
