    Walking in the Sunshine…

The Nevis 9 Bi-elections are nigh and while the works of the Hon. Hensley Daniel speak for themselves the youth of Nevis are rife with endorsements for the Hon. Hensley Daniel. So here is what they had to say...

“Who are you going to vote for? This is a man who helped us through a number of trials and tribulations. When CCM was in, I never had a job but now look at me now and you see no more crime. I can go and pick up my money on Friday. Who is looking for the youth in Nevis? Hensley! Who is the man who put the plan for all the youth in Nevis to keep themselves out of trouble? Mr. Daniel! On election day, let us all go out and vote for our boy Mr. Hensley Daniel!  Only Hensley, never Brantley”

    Javier Charles  of Bath Village

“Mr. Hensley Daniel the St. Paul’s constituency welcomes you with open arms. You are no stranger to us. We are fully aware of your exceptional performance within one year of your election into office. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. We applaud you with a smile. Look at your homework assistance program where 300+ students are enrolled and still ongoing, now that is ball game.  The new legislation for small business enterprises and Culturama activities is truly a record. Together with our government you have created the atmosphere for some 60+ students to further their education, definitely a home run. With a vision for the youth and a commitment to the elderly our candidate can only be the Honorable Hensley Daniel, a man of integrity, a man who represents true leadership. I, Shinelle Williams, truly endorse Mr. Hensley Daniel. Vote for the bottle! On August 27th vote for the Hon. Hensley Daniel! Vote for the Nevis Reformation Party for peace, progress and prosperity and for the future progress of this country.”

    Shinnelle Williams of Government Road

“I have a whole book on Mr. Daniel on my career and on my life. Mr. Daniel sent out all of my children to school; he gave them shoes, he gave them pants, he gave them books, he gave them shirts, he gave them the whole works and that is even before he was in power. He gave me a bag of food and I wasn’t even hungry. My house had a flood and they put me at the blind school for shelter. After a couple weeks they turned off the water because they wanted to get me out of the school so I had to get out. Without any water I could not have stayed there. They gave me a lot of knock about so I went to the Federal Office and I asked for help. When they hear that I went to the Federal Government they literally butt in. I have to say thanks to Mr. Arthur Evelyn, God bless him because he gave me a list to go to TDC so I got things for the house. After they finish they send Public Works to

                                  Idella Newton
build the house. When I go in the house, they give me bedrooms,  but no bathroom, no kitchen, no toilet and I said to myself ‘Wa dis?’ I had to go use one of my bedrooms to cook in. Bed there, stove there and fridge in the corner. One day I went in the bushes, (you know what I was there for) and I look back and saw someone behind me and I was so shame that I began to cry. So I went to the phone and I call Mr. Daniel. I say ‘Mr. Daniel I can’t take it anymore!”. Mr. Daniel said, “Della come to the office right now.” I needed some privacy. I needed somewhere to cook, somewhere to wash, somewhere to squeeze my belly. Mr. Daniel asked me all what I need and the next day TDC truck was in front of my gate. Today I am flushing toilet! I am flushing toilet this very day because of the generosity of Mr. Hensley Daniel.  Mr. Daniel God bless you and I know you will hit Mark one thump and I know that you will knock him out!”

              Shirvon Greene of Craddock Road
“My purpose is not only to endorse Mr. Daniel but also to highlight some of the good things that he has done for us as young people. I am hereon behalf of youth from Craddock Road, Pump Road, Low Street, Government Road and over Bath. On behalf of all these youth I want to thank Mr. Daniel for giving us opportunities. However, the journey is not done. We have to go out on August 27th to give him our mark. Not Mark Brantley but give Mr. Daniel our mark to the Federal Government in St. Kitts. Basketball on the island has been revived. The numbers of students who are going to college has increased especially with those coming from Nevis. How can this small island of only 36 square miles produce so many smart people? Well we have a chance to go out once more and give our votes to Mr. Daniel who now has a chance to give us what we have always wanted: peace, prosperity and unity. We also are proud of our basketball teams and football teams. How can I forget our basketball team from Cotton Ground Village? They went to St. Kitts and won the Eight Division Championship and when we were asked where the other teams from Nevis were we had no choice but to say that we were the only team at the time due to the fact that we didn’t have a steadier representation at the time. Having said that, young people of Nevis you excel at academics, you excel at sports, you guys do everything! Please go out and vote for this deputy! Please go out and vote for our army! Please go out and represent the green giants and remember we kick dust in they face and we win every race, we are the green giants!”

“I have known Mr. Daniel for many years and he is the type of person to always stop and talk to you when he sees you on the

                                    Bankey Tyson
street. The first day when I came back from New York, the first thing that I noticed was how clean the island was. It is not only a matter of saying the island is clean because remember tourism is a big part of the revenue that is coming into the country. The first thing that tourists see is the beauty of the island. Then I heard that Mr. Daniel had the young men responsible for cleaning up the island and I said to myself, That is a man with a vision! Right now everyone has houses, children grow up and educate their selves by going off the college and I realize that Mr. Daniel is a big part of that. It is not just cleaning the street because cleaning the street is nothing; you need to have landscape at the same time. If you have a big house and no landscape then you have nothing. Cleanliness is next to godliness. On the 27th there is only one person that you have to work for and that is Mr. Daniel.”

“The only candidate for St. John’s and St. Paul’s is Hensley Daniel. We are going to send Hensley Daniel right down to the narrows to represent with Patrice Nisbett.”

    July Browne of Pond Hill

“NRP people I would like to honor the Honorable Hensley Daniel. When one speaks on Mr. Daniel, the first thing that comes to mind is his love for Nevisian people, his dedication to the community and how hard he works for his people. Honor is already in the Honorable which fits Mr. Daniel perfectly and lets Nevis people know that he is always there for you. Faith lets his people know that they can count on and believe in him. People of Nevis, this is why Mr. Daniel is the best choice for you to send to St. Kitts to act on your behalf. Hensley I always love you!”

    Judy Browne of Brown Hill

“I was born and raised in Cox with Hensley Daniel. If you want to know about humble beginnings, I could tell you about humble beginnings. When I was asked to make this speech about Mr. Daniel, I remember there was an old lady by the name of Irene

                  Eric Stapleton of Cox Village
but when we go on the top of the hill but even though Hensley was 15-16 at the time he had to go to Sunday school and that is to show that he was brought up in the fear of the Lord. When we finish Sunday school we used to go look fruits. As I said, Hensley was older than us and I remember when we went in the mango tree those older boys would never study you but Hensley always make sure that all of us smaller boys get mango and jelly. When you see Hensley Daniel there he is a man who knows about culture. The shoes that he had on were made of an old car tire. Hensley took a sharp knife and cut out the tire to make shoes because down there hot full of kasha.  I have no fear in my heart in voting for Hensley for the simple reason that this is a man who knows about the grass roots. This is a man who came from humble beginnings. When these fellars come talking about humble beginnings if they can’t come with these kind of facts to you they don’t know a thing about humble beginnings. If you want to know about humble beginnings ask Hensley Daniel. Ladies and gentlemen of this country when it comes to August 27th, vote for Hensley Daniel, the only candidate in this race.”

Is there anything left to say? People of Nevis the Hon. Hensley Daniel has proven himself time and time again. On Monday August 27th 2007, the constituents of St John’s and St Paul’s, Nevis (9) will be called upon yet again to cast their votes due to the untimely passing of the late Honorable Malcom Guishard. On July 10th 2006 you selected the right people to represent the people of Nevis and you can do it again. Do the right thing and put your mark in the right place! Vote Hensley!

Who we gon put in the National Assembly?.... Only Hensley
