    ~~Adz:Left~~ On Tuesday 4th August 2007, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones performed an autopsy on the body of the late Dave Howard Hendrickson alias Dave “Jahman” Browne formerly of George Street, Newtown. Doctor Jones reported in his findings that death was caused by a gunshot injury to the head. The deceased was found dead at George Street, Newtown after midnight on Friday 31st August 2007.

    Police are once again urging persons who may have information in relation to this incident, to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 Extension 220 / 230 / 236 and they can do so anonymously.

    The following persons were charged with various offences on Tuesday 4th September 2007;
    • Alphonso Francis alias Alphonso Richards of St. Pauls was charged with the offence of “Wounding with Intent” committed on 13th September 2006 at the Ferry Terminal, Basseterre.

    • Jamal Foreman of Stapleton Village was charged with the offence of “Being armed with an offensive weapon” committed on 30th August 2007 at Stapleton.

    • Eric Phipps of Farms Site, Sandy Point was charged with the offence of “Being armed with an offensive weapon” committed on 4th September 2007 at Sandy Point.

    The following persons were convicted at the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on Tuesday 4th September 2007;
    • Steve Carty of St. Pauls who was convicted on a charge of “Making use of Indecent Language” committed on 15th August 2007. Carty pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently sentenced to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment.

    • Mike Romney of Saddlers Village was convicted on a charge of “Battery” committed on 30th June 2007. Romney pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently fined $300.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment with hard labour.

    • Eric Romney of Parsons Village was convicted on a charge of “Wounding” committed on 19th May 2007. Romney pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently fined $1,000.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve three (3) months imprisonment with hard labour.

    • Joseph Agard of Pogson Village was convicted on a charge of “Making use of Indecent Language” committed on 14th March 2007. Agard pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently fined $350.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment. Agard also pleaded guilty of a charge of “Disorderly Conduct” and was subsequently convicted and cautioned for the offence.


    While at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Tuesday 4th September 2007, Zahid Ali of Bath Village Nevis, who was charged with the offence of “Rape” committed on 23rd May 2007 was committed to stand trial at the January 2008 Criminal Assizes.
