BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SEEKING additional opportunities in which to better serve their customers, LIME, the telecommunications giant held a Sales Event yesterday (July 13).
They ‘set up shop’ in the Independence Square from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and offered customers a wide range of discounts, give-aways and freebies.
Customers flocked the tents to take advantage of the ‘specials’ which included reduced prices on selected phones with phone cards as well as phone upgrades.
Customers who signed up for LIME’s internet service received a free Dual Port Modem and free installation with only EC$75 monthly payment for one year.
Persons who signed up for LIME’s postpaid service and those who already have the service were offered the chance to purchase a Blackberry 8520 for EC$599 with one year Blackberry Service contract.
Prepaid customers were offered the chance to purchase the Blackberry 8520 for EC$799 with one year Blackberry Service contract.
Customers who signed up for LIME’s internet service and/or Blackberry Service were given the chance to win a Blackberry 8520, top ups, free internet service for one month, and free Blackberry Service for one month.
Corporate Communications Manager, Laverne Caines told SKNVibes that the event was staged to show the importance of being a sales person and knowing how to serve customers well.
“This is the second annual event. Last year, we had a Community Event at the Children’s Home. This year we did a sales event, the entire staff came out to support this event. We were on the street giving out flyers, we had a booth at the industrial site, and everyone got involved.
“The whole idea is to show that we are all sales people, and we are willing to be supportive of the people on the front line no matter what our functions are in the business,” she explained.
Other promotions include ‘text to win’ where persons can text the word ‘cash’ to 9696 for a chance to win EC$1 000 every Friday in the month of July.
LIME also has a zero postpaid bill promotion where postpaid customers who pay their postpaid bills in full receive a chance to win ‘All Talk’ for one month.
Another promotion is an ‘In Store Promotion’ where customers who spend EC$25 or more on anything in the LIME store gets a chance to win a Blackberry 8520.
