Photos show area where shooting incidents took place
Two young men,18 year old  Kelroy “C-face” Hazel, of the Village area, and  19 year old Jamal Parris, of the New Road Housing Project, are nursing gun shot wounds after they were attacked on Thursday night last, September 13th, at approximately  10:30, in the vicinity of Ras-Bo’s Pizza shop, in St. Johnston Village.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Kelroy was shot in the back and the hand while Jamal received a gunshot wound to his leg.

It is alleged that two young men, one wearing a mask and the other unmasked, approached the area in a vehicle. They alighted from the vehicle and started shooting at the two victims.

However, the Police investigation has been seriously hampered as the two victims are not cooperating with the Police.

In addition, it has been alleged that the shooting stems from escalating tensions between two gangs, one originating from the Newtown area and the other in the west, in the Village area.

Residents have expressed much concern in relation to the shooting as this is not the first time that a shooting incident has happened around the Ras- Bo Pizza shop. Last year, a young man from Old Road, was murdered in the same area.

The Police are also investigating a murder of a young man,  Darren Berridge, a 26 year old  from Cayon, in the Newtown area, sometime after 1 a.m. on Friday.

The Police are continuing their investigations into both matters.
