~~Adz:Left~~Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on the Irish Town Bay Road in the vicinity of the Public Market at approximately 12:00 a.m. on Thursday 20th September 2007. The victim, Wrensford Evelyn Dore alias “Mop” was approached by two men wearing masks and armed with a gun. During the incident Dore was shot in his left leg and robbed of his money, cell phone and ID’s. He is presently hospitalized at the J.N.F. General Hospital in stable condition.
Police are also investigating a robbery that occurred at the Best Groceries Chinese Supermarket at the corner of Central Street and Shaw Avenue, Basseterre. Two masked men entered the supermarket and during the course of the incident a (24) twenty-four-year-old female worker at the supermarket sustained a wound to the left side of her face. The armed robbers escaped with cash and a number of phone cards during the incident which occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Thursday 20th September 2007.
