~~Adz:Left~~ International doctors under the auspices of Friend Ships Unlimited and Smile of A Child will coordinate a week of free medical aid at the Charlestown Secondary School’s villa from Tuesday, October 16th through Saturday, October 20th from 9.00 a.m to 5 p.m according to Andre Gilbert, General Manager, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Nevis.

The medical team will be sailing from Port Mercy in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the island of Nevis, located in the Leeward Islands.  The team is working in association with the Trinity Broadcasting Network television station and local pastors on the island of Nevis.  They will provide a week of medical aid, children’s ministry and outreach.

They will be delivering a Smile of A Child mobile super clinic to be permanently established at the TBN television station and available for ongoing medical teams to utilize while providing free of charge services to those in need. From Nevis, the medical team will sail to Honduras, the beautiful island of Roatán and the quaint mainland coastal town of Tela.

Mr Gilbert has called on Nevisians and Kittitians to consider participating in one or all of these outreaches. “We are particularly in need of licensed medical providers,” he said.

Patients who turn out for medical attention have been advised not to eat in the morning.  Persons interested in having medical check-ups and treatment can request ‘bracelets’ from their local church or the TBN Television at Bath Plain in Nevis. There are activities planned for children. Volunteers have been asked to call TBN 469-5425 or Radio Paradise at 469-1994 to request volunteer application.  Volunteers who will pray with patients have also been urged to register.  They will pray with the patients before and after treatment.

Local medical personnel who wish to offer free services have been invited, stated the Press statement.
