Cable & Wireless Prada Phone Promotion brings joy to four

Four Cable & Wireless customers are the proud owners of coveted Prada phones and paraphernalia. Capitalizing on its leadership role as first to market with exclusive mobile brands, Cable & Wireless used its platinum sponsorship status with this year’s Culturama to create a buzz around these phones.
A promotion, which ran for two weeks during the peak of Culturama, gave customers the easiest possible opportunity to own an array of Prada-branded products. To qualify, customers had to provide the answer to the question: which telecoms company provides cutting edge mobile technology in the form of a text to a provided platform.
Two attractive displays of the Prada phone along with a Prada perfume and Prada sunglasses lured customers to the main office to especially view the prized mobile phone at stake. That was enough to jump-start thousands of customers into a texting frenzy, which culminated in the selection of the four eventual winners.
Popular DJ Sugar Bowl, through his Wednesday night radio and television show also used that platform to push customers to participate in the promotion. In his usual inimitable style, he displayed the phone on his television programme to tease his viewers, publicly espousing the value of the instrument.

Prompted or not, customers were intent on getting their hands on this designer instrument, at any cost, or for that matter at the cost of EC$1. After all, the Prada brand conjures up images of style and high fashion, and is highly sought after. And so at a value of over EC$2500 and with an investment of EC$1 in texting two very lucky Cable & Wireless customers are now the proud owners of a Prada mobile phone. The runner up winners received consolation prizes of a Prada perfume set.
