The skull that was found in Frigate Bay
Basseterre; St. Kitts: A skull and some bones that were identified as human remains were found by workers of NH International (Caribbean) Limited, which has been contracted to do civil engineering work at the Ocean’s Edge Resort, in Frigate Bay, on Wednesday, 3rd October.

The Police are in possession of the skull and bones and they have solicited the services of a forensic anthropologist to aid them in their efforts to identify the bones.

According to Reynold Phillips, a worker on the sight, he was excavating sand from an area and depositing it another when the skull and bones were discovered.

He noted that he was completely unaware of the find until his colleagues drew his attention to them.

Phillips noted that his colleagues who were leveling the sand which he deposited were the first to discover the remains. Shortly after the discovery, the Police were summoned to the scene.

Workers on site are of the view that the remains have been buried there for quite a few years but it is still too early to make any deductions.

The Police are continuing their investigations into the find.
