    Kenrick O'Loughlin convicted on a charge of "Battery"

     


    ~~Adz:Left~~ The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 8th October 2007;

     

    • Anthony Ranton of New Road was convicted on two charges of “Making Use of Indecent Language” two charges of “Making Use of Threatening Language”, “Assault on a Police Officer” and “Being armed with an offensive weapon” committed on 28th May 2007. He was subsequently fined $500.00 to be paid in one month or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment on the later charge; Ranton was convicted and cautioned on the first two (2) charges and also placed on a bond for two (2) years to keep the peace of be of good behaviour.
     
    • Andy Jeffers of Upper Cayon was convicted on a charge of “Battery” committed on 21st May 2007. He was subsequently placed on a bond in the sum of $1,000.00 to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for a period of two years and to keep away from the complainant in the case, or in default serve one (1) month imprisonment.
     
    • Urban Herbert of Lower Monkey Hill was convicted on a charge of “Battery” committed on 23rd May 2007. He was subsequently fined $750.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default serve one (1) month imprisonment.
     
    • Kenrick O’loughlin of Tabernacle was convicted on a charge of “Battery” committed on 14th February 2007. He was subsequently fined $750.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve two (2) months imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay compensation of $1,000.00 in two (2) months or in default to serve two (2) months imprisonment.
     
    • Anna Morris of McKnight was convicted on charges of “Being armed with an offensive Weapon” and “Battery on a Police Officer” committed on 31st May 2007. She was subsequently fined $350.00 for each charge to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment.
     
     
    The following persons were charged with offences between 5th and 8th October 2007;
     
    • Conrad Clarke of Newtown was charged with the offence of “Unlawful Possession” committed on 4th October 2007.

    • A seventeen-year-old male of the Shadwell area was charged with the offences of “Battery on a Police Officer” and “Resisting Arrest” committed on 6th October 2007.
     
    • A fifteen-year-old male of Camps Estate was charged with two counts of the offence of “Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” committed against a nine-year-old female in September 2007 and against a seven-year-old female in October 2007.
