BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DJ KHALED’S popular tune ‘All I do is Win’ can be used to described the success of reigning National Carnival Queen and Miss Carival Iantavian Queeley, as she captured yet another crown; this time in Antigua at the Caribbean Jaycees Pageant.

The pageant, which was held last night (July 29) at the Antigua Recreation Ground, had its 8:00 p.m. scheduled start delayed for more than an hour due to heavy rainfall and ended after 3:00 this morning.

In addition to the crown, Queeley won all of the judged segments - Best Dress, Best Swim Wear, Best Cocktail Wear, Best Modeling Skills in Cocktail Attire, Best Performing Talent and Best Interview.

In the First Runner-up position was Miss Dominica, while Miss Anguilla and Miss St. Lucia were adjudge Second and Third Runners-up respectively.

The Miss Congeniality award went to Miss Trinidad & Tobago while Miss St. Lucia won the award for Miss Photogenic.

A total of 15 contestants competed in the 50th anniversary pageant which complemented that country’s carnival celebrations.

Queeley is the third National Carnival Queen to ever win the Caribbean Jaycees crown, following Nicole Gumbs in 2001 and Ithlane Archibald in 1984.

The competition is described as one of the toughest pageants in Caribbean history, which high standards have given it a reputation that is second to none.

Queeley and her chaperone Ozelle Martin have received numerous congratulations from nationals (to their facebook pages and on blackberry messenger), who expressed that the duo has made them all proud to be citizens of the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Many are also encouraging the 24-year-old to compete in the Miss Universe and Miss World Pageants.

As part of the 50th anniversary, a pre-show was held on Wednesday (July 27) at the Sugar Ridge Resort which featured the judging of the Cocktail and Swimwear segments.
