    ~~Adz:Left~~The Traffic Department continues to express its zero tolerance for driving under the influence of alcohol, and on Monday 15th October 2007 officers of the Traffic Department arrested Oliver Maynard of Ponds Extension for driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was formally charged for the offence, and subsequently released on bail. He is expected to appear in court shortly.
     
    A juvenile of St. Johnson Village was convicted for house breaking and larceny and sentenced to six months in prison. This offence was committed on 15th June 2007. 
     
    Another juvenile of St. Johnson Village was convicted for house breaking and larceny and ordered to pay compensation of $3,000.00 to the complainant in nine (9) months or in default to be brought back to court for sentencing.
     
    Yet another juvenile of Sandy Point was convicted for the offence of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge committed on 26th July 2007. The presiding magistrate has reserved judgment until 22nd October 2007.
     
    The Police in Nevis executed a search warrant on the premises of Hymie Ferguson of Zetlands on Monday 15th October 2007. A .25 pistol and 3 rounds of .25 ammunitions were found on the premises and were seized by the Police.  Ferguson was arrested and charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition.
