S L Horsford & Co. Ltd Appoints New Chairman
~~Adz:Left~~Basseterre, St.Kitts (October 17th 2007):- At its first meeting for the 2007/2008 Financial Year held on Thursday, October 11th, the Board of Directors of S L Horsford & Co. Ltd. appointed Mr. W. Anthony Kelsick, B. A., B. Com., CA, Chairman of the Horsford Group of Companies.
Anthony replaces Mr. William Kelsick, OBE, CSM who retired from the chairmanship at the company’s June 2007 Annual General Meeting. The new chairman will also continue to function in the capacity of Managing Director, the position he has held since August 1990.
Mr. Anthony Kelsick wishes to reassure all shareholders, the general public and the management and staff of Horsford of his deep commitment to the continued growth and development of the company. He will continue to welcome and respond to the views and suggestions of all stakeholders to ensure that the delivery of high quality products and services, to which the Federation has become accustomed, is maintained and enhanced.
The Canadian trained Chartered Accountant endorses the principle of good governance and will strive to make transparency and accountability the hallmarks of his chairmanship.
Other members of the Board of Directors are Mr. Malcom Kirwan, B.S., MBA; Mr. Donald Kelsick, HBA; Mr. Mark Wilkin, B.A., MBA; Mr. Chris Martin, B. Com., MBA; Mr. Anthony Gonsalves, LLB, LLM; Mr. Victor Williams, B.Sc., SCL.; and Mrs. Judith Ng’alla, FCCA is Secretary to the Board.
