Ourtic Gillard charged with two counts of "Robbery with a firearm"

As investigations continue, the Police have formally arrested and charged Ourtic Gillard of Sandy Point on two counts of Robbery with a firearm, committed on October 10th 2007 at College Street and Calypso Bay. These arrests took place on October 17th 2007. Gillard remains hospitalized.
On October 17th 2007 Police in Sandy Point have arrested and charged Lionel Warner of Dieppe Bay for possession of Cannabis. He is expected to appear in court shortly.
Also on 17th October the Old Road Police have formally arrested and charged Mekel Clarke of Challengers for the murder of Ernish Weekes, committed on October 14th 2007 at Challengers. Clarke is expected to be remanded at HM Prison.
At a sitting of the Magistrate Court in Charlestown on 17th October 2007, the following persons were convicted and sentenced as follows by presiding Magistrate Her Worship Ms. Yasmin Clarke:
i. Mikey Johnson of Bricklyn Village was fined $2,000.00 in three months or 3 months imprisonment for possession of cannabis. This offence was committed on September 16th at Bricklyn.
ii. Ricky Brandy of Bricklyn Village was fined $1,000.00 in 3 months or 1 month imprisonment for possession of cannabis. Offence was committed on 16th October 2007.
iii. Lathen Thomas and Spencer Lawrence were both fined $250.00 in 1 month or 14 days imprisonment for failing to comply with a traffic sign at Charlestown on 25th August 2007.
