Crucial Bankie and Mick Stokes headline 2011 Brimstone Hill Emancipation Concert

    BASSETERRE St.Kitts, August 3rd, 2011 - It’s the 14th annual Emancipation Concert at Brimstone Hill, a celebration in song, poetry, dance and folklore of a valiant people’s struggle against bondage.

     

    This year Mick Stokes and Crucial Bankie join us in our celebration on the Hill, along with Rollensha, Larry Vaughan and other local gems.  Folklore also will be returning in force to Brimstone Hill for the 2011 Emancipation Concert.  The Royaltiez Band will provide the soundtrack for our celebration.

     

    Join us on Sunday 14th August 2011 from 4:30pm until 7:00pm.  Contribution only EC$10.00 adults, children half price.  The Skyline Canteen will provide barbecue chicken and fish, as well as other tasty fare to satisfy any appetite during the event.

     

    A shuttle service will be provided for those requiring it from the base of Brimstone Hill to the Parade at 4:00 and 4:20pm, and at the end of the show from the Parade to the base at 7:00, 7:15 and 7:30pm.  Secure parking will be provided at the base of the Hill for those with vehicles who wish to use the shuttle service.
