(St. Augustine, Trinidad) --- In an unorthodox method of promotion yesterday students of the University of the West Indies (UWI) dressed up as ‘vagrants’ to promote the upcoming annual Canada Hall concert.

During an exclusive interview active member of Canada Hall, Mr. Jeron ‘Enis’ Jordan explained to SKNVibes.com the purpose of the unconventional activity which is a yearly occurrence.

“The purpose of the activity is to promote the ‘best’ concert on three campuses of UWI; the Canada Hall Concert. This year our theme will be the ‘The Odyssey’ which represents the journey of someone who experiences happiness”, he said.

Mr. Jordan continued, “Each year during the week before concert we do different promotions and yesterday was Vagrant day which is where members of the hall dress up as vagrants. We then go out to campus and speak to different people and while we may appear scary we do successfully promote the concert.”

The Canada Hall ‘hermit’ indicated that the activity was extremely successful in that all tickets were sold out and the hall committee is currently contemplating printing additional tickets.

The activity was not only one of promotion but also served as a show of solidarity among the ‘hermit’ fraternity which serves to represent the Canada Hall way of life.

The concert will be held on October 20 at the JFK Lecture Theatre starting at 7 p.m. and Jordan promises that it will ‘be one of the best shows that anyone has ever seen’.
