    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
The Traffic Department of the Police Force is conducting investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding an accident outside Basseterre, in the Buckley’s area, at approximately 2:10, earlier this afternoon, October 30th.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured but both vehicles, PA 6338 and P 1648, were extensively damaged.

Unconfirmed reports state that P 1648, driven by Ross University Professor Richard Page, was travelling west along the island main road from Basseterre, toward the Ross University area and PA 6338, driven by Trevor James, was coming out from a dirt road in Buckley’s, and heading in the same westerly direction when the collision occurred.

The impact caused the SUV P 1648 to flip over on its side before it lodged on a utility pole.

    Both vehicles had one passenger.

Professor revealed that he and his passenger managed to crawl out of the vehicle through the driver’s side door.

~~Adz:Right~~ The young passenger who was on the back of pick-up truck PA 6338 stated that when he realized that both vehicles were going to collide, he jumped from the moving vehicle. He suffered minor injuries as a result of the fall he got when he jumped.

The Traffic Department continues to appeal to motorists to drive with due care and attention.
