On returning to Paris Dr. Doyle’s feedback was as follows: “ Pascale joins me in extending our thanks to you and Mrs. Morton, for spending time with us to explain the  French language teaching methods you use at the Basseterre High School.  We enjoyed meeting you and were most impressed with your teaching methods and commitment despite the lack of resources. Very laudable indeed!”

Dr. Doyle indicated that UNESCO stands ready to contribute to the strengthening of our French teaching capacity at Basseterre High.   He also recommended close networking with Ms. Rita Schneider (Director- Alliance Francaise) and Mr. Antoinio Maynard (Federation’s Secretary General to UNESCO) to prepare and submit projects requesting the requisite support

On behalf of the Principal, the entire staff and the student body of the Basseterre High School, Ms. Saunders wishes to express many thanks and deep appreciation to Dr. and Mrs. Doyle for their visit, their interest and their support.

She looks forward to many years of cooperation and collaboration with the august body they represent. Heartfelt thanks are also extended to Mr. Von-Michael Martin, one of the Federation’s outstanding youth currently employed at UNESCO (Paris office).  Von was very instrumental in initiating contact between Dr. and Mrs. Doyle and Ms. Saunders.

Although physically far away, obviously Von has kept his alma mater and his Federation close to his heart.  Von continues to be the exemplary young man that others should emulate. Merci beaucoup Von et continue le bon travail!
