BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TRIPLE cup winners in the Digicel SKNFA Premier Division Football League, Rams Village Superstars is scheduled to celebrate their victories in style at Manhattan Gardens in Lime Kiln on Saturday (Aug. 13).
The team took the Easter Cup, the Final Four Cup and the Premier Division Cup, making them overall champions of the league and worthy of a celebration.
The much-anticipated party was originally scheduled for Fort Thomas Hotel but had a last minute venue change.
According to club member Leslie ‘Sugar Bowl’ Morton, who is in charge of entertainment, the football club had planned to use a tractor with a mower to cut the grass on the initial venue, but the mower broke down and a decision was made to host the event at Manhattan Gardens.
“We called Rock and Dirt and Public Works but theirs are down as well. So, due to those circumstances beyond our control, we had no choice but to move the event,” he added.
Despite the little glitch, organisers are promising the same joyous event for the team members and their fans.
The event will feature musical entertainment by Sugar Bowl, Evolution, Sensia and DJ Cool along with the Grand Masters Band and Nu Vybes Band International.
Morton noted that the party will also serve as a fundraiser to send the team on a trip as a reward, and also try to get them into the Caribbean Club Championship, which is very costly.
