Business Update – More money in the small man’s pocket

By: Jenise Ferlance, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE constant cries being put forward by small business owners in St. Kitts and Nevis are finally being heard to some degree as a tax concession “on transportation equipment for a small local business operating in the services sector” was approved by Cabinet.

A post cabinet briefing on Monday (Aug. 8) stated, “The small business sector is recognised as having the greatest potential for growth and employment creation...the Cabinet of Ministers approved the granting of tax concession on transportation equipment for a small local business operating in the services sector. The financial assistance to the small business concerned will assist it in improving quality of service and in serving an expanded clientele.”
