BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 16th 2011 - The People’s Action Movement’s members of Central Basseterre, Constituency Number two, last week elected a new Executive to oversee the affairs of the Consitituency Group over the next year. The group elected former National Executive General Secretary Selwyn “Rusty” Liburd as the new Chairperson of the group on Monday 8th August, 2011 .
Elected to compliment newly elected Chairman Liburd were Stella Taylor, Deputy Chairperson, Gloria Byron, Secretary, Hilton Clarke, Treasurer, Loretta Nisbett, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer and Executive Member Latoya Bussue.
The newly elected Chairman said that it is the team’s main goal to increase membership, raise funds and to oversee the selection and election of a new and dynamic candidate to contest the next General Elections whenever it is called.
Liburd congratulated the outgoing team and the outgoing Chairman, Warren Thompson for all the hard work he and his team did during the time they spent at the head of the constituency group.
Constituency meetings are held every first, second and third Mondays of the month at 7:30 p.m at PAM Headquarters. We are hoping to see all members at our meetings. Our next meeting is Monday, August 15, 2011 as our main agenda item will be the selection of a candidate for Constituency Number two.
