    ~~Adz:Left~~On Thursday 8th November, 2007 Vincia Merrit of Trafalgar Village was convicted for the offences of Battery and Abusive Language. Merrit was fined five-hundred dollars ($500.00) in six months or one month in prison for Abusive Language and five-hundred dollars ($500.00) in three months or one month in prison for Battery. The offences were committed on 11th March 2007.
     
    Also convicted at the court was Alfred Wattley of Basseterre for the offences of Unlawful Possession of Mangoes and Resisting Arrest. He was fined five-hundred dollars ($500.00) in three months or one month in prison for the offence of Unlawful Possession and for the offence of Resisting Arrest, he was fined two-hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) in two months or one month in prison. The offences were committed on 4th November 2007.
     
    Shawn Browne of Cotton Ground, Nevis, was convicted for the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and was sentenced to three (3) years in prison. The offence took place on 16th June 2007.
     
    Resident Pathologist Dr. Jesus Debrok performed an autopsy on the body of the late Wilson George of Upper Market Street on Thursday 8th November 2007 and reported the cause of death to be as a result of hemorrhage and shock due to stab wounds on the left side and abdomen of the deceased.
     
    Investigations are ongoing.
