Beenie Man to perform in St. Kitts next month

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DID somebody say Beenie Man? Well, the Jamaican veteran dancehall artiste will be performing live for his eager fans at Carnival Village on Saturday, September 10.

According to the organiser behind the concert, Sunil Gehani who also owns Twist on Port Zante, he chose to bring Beenie Man to St. Kitts because there is nothing much happening locally in the entertainment arena.

Gehani said he considers the king of dancehall a good performer and one of the best on stage, while stressing that he has many nice hits.

The show will also feature the dynamic Evolution Sounds along with the Small Axe Band and Nu Vybes Band International which would whip up some pep in the venue.

Tickets can be obtained at Twist and the Ticket Shop for $50 before August 31. After that date,   patrons will have to pay $60 at the gate.

An all-inclusive VIP package would also be available for $135, for which patrons will receive food and drinks as well as comfortable seating under a raised roof.

Beenie Man, who has been in the music business for over 30 years, has performed in the Federation on a number of occasions.

He is best known for his long going feud with rival artiste Bounty Killer and also for his many hit songs which include ‘Tell Me’, ‘Who Am I’, Give It Up’, ‘Wine Gal’, ‘Hmm Hmm’, ‘Pinckney Nah Hold Yah Dung’, ‘Gime Gime’, ‘Old Dog’ and ‘Dancehall Queen’.
