BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO local artistes from the Upstairs Family who have teamed up on a number of collaborations are at it again. This time the duo members, who have been friends for six years, have released a track titled ‘Forever’.
“You’re my baby, you’re my forever. Close your eyes picture me and you sailing away”… those are just a few of the lyrics mentioned in the new track that is more on the sentimental side
The song saw its official release earlier this morning (Aug. 18) on Freedom radio and already fans have expressed their love for the track.
‘Forever’ was recorded at Musical Hype Entertainment Studios (MHE) in New Road while the riddim was produced by Cliff Richards of SKNVibes.
Footsy, whose given name is Akeem Manners, said he gets his motivation from the children of this Federation, and he wants them to know that they have positive role models like himself to look up too.
However, he had recently made a comment about giving up on his musical journey because of some negative ‘drama’ surrounding some of the local artistes.
He said since then he was approached by some children who wanted to know if he was really going to end his singing career. He had a change of heart because he did not want to be a disappointment to them.
Silk, on the other hand, who was born Javier Hutton says he gets his inspiration from his parents and the people around him.
He will be releasing two new tracks shortly titled " Nar Sell Out" and "I Know".
Both singers are currently working on a number of singles separately, and another duo dubbed ‘Magical Moment’.
