BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 25th 2011 - Plans are underway for the second staging of the St. Christopher Children’s Home and Service League Fun Walk/Run.
An Organizing Committee along with the support of the Board has already been set up and is charged with the responsibilities of implementing the major fundraiser to benefit the children of the family oriented establishment.
The fundraising initiative is open to persons of all ages and will be held at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club and will feature a two (2) kilometer Family Walk and a five (5) kilometer Run.
Immediately following those two (2) events will be a St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino hosted BBQ and Fun Fair, which will include a series of activities for young children, such as, the well-liked bouncing castle and face painting, complemented by local music by a popular disc jockey, to name a few.
The idea behind what is now an annual event on the Board’s agenda seeks to further promote and foster healthy lifestyles, while creating an environment that brings together the entire a wide cross-section of the Community for a worthwhile cause.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday 1st October 2011.
