    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
A five and half foot Nurse shark was the main attraction at the Bay Front, close to the Ferry Terminal, this morning, Thursday 22nd, November, as Amos McIntosh, proudly showed his catch of the day.

McIntosh was busy cleaning the shark as he suspects that buyers will purchase the meat within quick time, as many persons consider the Nurse shark as a delicacy.

The shark was estimated to weigh 120 pounds and it was caught close to shore, right in the waters by the Ferry Terminal.

He revealed that he caught the shark with a line, this morning (Thursday). It is suspected that the shark was caught while it was feeding.

The area close to the Ferry Terminal is popular spot for cleaning fish and the intestines and other parts are dumped back into the sea.

Amos McIntosh has been fishing since the early 1970’s and he disclosed he has caught sharks on quite a few occasions.

A number of students from the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College were quite amused with catch and were also a bit concerned about the shark being caught right in the shore area, where people swim.
