Basseterre, St. Kitts, 4th December, 2007 – National Carnival needs the support of the business community to survive. The Inferno Mas Group, on St. Kitts, knows this from experience and rests assured that corporate citizens, such as the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank play its part in growing the National Festival.
Three years ago, in its crucial embryonic state, Inferno reached out to National Bank for assistance, as it sought to introduce its first ever installment of a costume troupe, during National Carnival 2005/06. National Bank saw great potential in the Inferno group and offered its sponsorship. This alliance contributed greatly to Inferno being officially labeled the best troupe for National Carnival 2005/06. Since then National Bank has given its support to the group.
Yesterday Patricia Wilkinson, of National Bank, presented a cheque to a representative of Inferno, to assist in the preparations for National Carnival 2007/08. Mrs Wilkinson commented, “ Carnival brings our people together, reminding us of our common past and connected future. It infuses creative energy providing a platform for artists, entrepreneurs, onlookers and event planners to volunteer and give of themselves. National Bank is proud to hold its place as a responsible corporate citizen and promoter of all things National.” ~~Adz:Right~~

Inferno is a five member group, whose main goal is to help grow National Carnival and deliver an unforgettable experience - from the launch of its yearly costumes to Carnival Monday and Tuesday. This year’s troupe is called ‘Digicel CELERBATIONS- The People Who Came.’
