Is life a Game?

By: Dean Kelly

In life, we ask for what we want. We either speak it through our words or act it out through our actions. Whatever we truly desire in the heart and mind, materializes somehow in life, though we may or may notrealize what is happening.

This doesn’t mean that we walk blindly through life with our head down saying, “Why me lord, or Why us lord.” We often sit and complain that things aren’t going the way we want it to be, yet we sit and do nothing to change it. We complain about gossip, about difficulties in society, and in our family, yet do nothing about it. However, somehow deep down,we are always hoping for a CHANGE.

We walk about our daily lives, frustrated and angered by many things, most of which we don’t understand or have chosen not totake the time to understand. All we do is swallow the toxic energy that is around us. When you come to the realization that you can change no-one but yourself, you will relax and understand that in life, it is what it is.

You have to allow yourself and all those people around you to be as they are. You cannot impose your ideas and solutions of how things should be. If you accept uncertainty, solutions will emerge out of any problem, any confusion, any order or chaos.

Accepting uncertainty is your path to freedom and security. You have to accept people, situations, events and circumstances as they occur because this moment is as it should be not as you wish it was. Once you accept things as they are, then is when we can take responsibility for our situation and for all those events we see as problems.

Life shouldn’t be about playing the blame game. Never blame anyone or anything, because every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and you can transform this/any moment into a greater benefit if given a chance. Give up the need to defend your point of view, and judge nothing that occurs. The difficulty here is practicing the non-judgmental way of life.

Do not assume that there are intentions behind people’s mistakes because most of the time there aren’t, however, do not live with the false hope that you can change anyone either. Most people never change unless there is some sort of catastrophic circumstance in their life that forces them to make a change if at all.

We cannot allow obstacles in our life and society to consume us. Accept the present as it is, and manifest the future through your deepest most cherished intentions and desires. Open yourself up to all possibilities, and anticipate the excitement that can occur when you remain open to infinite choices. It’s all about faith, and I don’t mean the textbook version of faith either.

Only then will you be able to experience all the fun, adventure, magic and mystery of life. Believe that everything is working for your highest good and expect to receive the best in every situation. What you need may lie beyond the present appearance but continue to affirm and know that what you hold in your consciousness will manifest in your life.

Life is a gift, and each time we take a breath we must realize that it is about fellowship, family, love, and happiness, so make your next move, and play your cards right.
