    Businessman shot in robbery at popular Village superette

    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
    Lenny Ottley, a young businessman, affiliated with Ottley’s Enterprises, a business place in Russell Village, in the St. Johnson Village area, is currently in stable condition at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, after he was shot twice in the back, a robbery on Saturday night last, December 8th.
     
    According to reports, two young men entered the superette at approximately 10 p.m. and made off with an undisclosed sum of money.
     
    It is not clear as to what happened when the two robbers entered the shop but residents noted that a single shot was heard first and then five more were fired.
     
    The Police have confirmed that six shots were indeed fired.
     
    Residents said that the two men fled through an alley and then across the playfield into the darkness.   
     
    ~~Adz:Right~~ There has been much concern over this latest robbery and the shooting of Ottley. Angry residents were at the scene of the crime voicing their disgusts at the apparent desperate antics of the two gunmen.
     
    Sources have indicated that the Police have a suspect in their custody assisting them with their investigations.
