More Drugs and Ammunition Found
~~Adz:Left~~ The Police continued its drive to rid the Federation of illegal drugs firearms and ammunitions by conducting stop and search operations in the Basseterre area. On Monday 10th December 2007, as a result of the operations Akimba Whyte and Lennox Gumbs were arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis after the drugs were found in their possession.
Police in Nevis conducted operations in the Cole Hill area and a total of (25) Cannabis plants were uprooted. The plants ranged in height from one to three feet.
On Monday 10th December 2007, police in Nevis executed search warrants on several properties in the Gingerland area. A total of sixteen (16) rounds of ammunition, a quantity of Cannabis and one Sony Camcorder were found at one of the properties and taken into police custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
