Joint Operations Conducted
~~Adz:Left~~{Basseterre; St. Kitts} On Friday 14th December and Sunday 16th December 2007, the Royal St. Christopher-Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force conducted joint operations in the Basseterre, Tabernacle and Molyneaux area. A quantity of Cannabis was found at a residence in Molyneaux. As a result of the find, Reuben Govia of Molyneuax was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis. A total of nine cars, 18 empty lots of lands and 31 abandoned houses were searched in the Newtown area and a quantity of Cannabis as well as a brand new 20-inch Television and a brand new Stove were found in an abandoned house and taken into Police custody. Natalie Francis and Lynette Pemberton of Mad House Alley, Newtown, as well as Kenza Brantley of Lower Cayon, were arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis.
On Saturday 15th December 2007, members of the Drug Unit conducted operations in the Haynes Smith Village, Lime Kiln, Irish Town, The Village, Newtown and Frigate Bay area. A total of 31 persons were stopped and searched for control drugs, arms and ammunitions as well as illegal firearms. As a result of the operations, Omar Stancliffe of Haynes Smith Village was arrested and charged for Possession of Cannabis
