Police on Nevis receive more support from Premier Parry and corporate citizen

Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry presents the Dell laptop computer to Head of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on behalf of Office World

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (FEBRUARY 12, 2008) -- The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) continued to show its support for the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force when Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry handed over a Dell VOSTRO1000 laptop computer at his Bath Plain office to Head of the Nevis Division Superintendent Samuel Seabrookes on February 10, 2008.
In a brief but significant ceremony witnessed by Head of the Criminal Investigation Department Inspector Hilroy Brandy, Mr. Parry expressed gratitude to corporate citizen Office World who had donated the computer.
“I have to thank Office World for making this contribution to the Police Force here in Nevis. Mr. Curtis Liburd has indicated his commitment to law and order in Nevis and he was very willing and anxious to make this presentation.

“It is my understanding that the police needed this computer, that there is no computer in the office of the Command here on Nevis and so I am very happy Superintendent Seabrookes to hand over this computer to you on behalf of Office World,” he said.
Mr. Seabrookes thanked the Premier on behalf of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Nevis Division. He said his office had been without a computer and one was long overdue. He also gave the assurance that the gift would greatly enhance productivity at his office.
The NIA had given its commitment to support the Police in anyway necessary, in order to maintain law and order and the island’s peace and tranquility.
~~Adz:Left~~ The Administration had so far constructed a new police station at the Gingerland outpost, relocated the police officers at cotton Ground pending new quarters, donated a special vehicle for the K-9 Unit and had carried out a number of repairs on the police stations throughout the island.
