    Woman suffers broken leg in traffic accident

    ~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE,St. Kitts: A traffic accident in Nevis has left a Kittitian woman with a broken leg, cuts, bruises and a laceration to her mouth which required several stitches.
     
    Information reaching SKNVibes.com is that around 7:30 am Sunday, Phydencia Heyliger, a Scotia Bank (Nevis) employee, was traveling on the island’s main road from Gingerland to Charlestown in motor car P291 when she lost control of the vehicle in the vicinity of Beach Road and collided with a motor lorry which was traveling in the opposite direction.
     
    SKNVibes also understands that the car struck the right rear tyre of the lorry.  The car, according to reports, was extensively damaged.
     
    Sources close to this media house informed that the other occupant in the motorcar escaped the incident unscathed. The identity of said passenger was not divulged.
     
    Heyliger was transported to the Alexandra Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
     
    The police, when contacted concerning the incident, informed that they are making investigations into the matter.
