HTA implements survey system

~~Adz:Left~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE St. Kitts-Nevis Hotel and Trade Association (HTA) on February 15 implemented a practical system of evaluating tourists’ experience during their visit to St. Kitts.
According to correspondence disseminated by the said institution, the exercise would last for approximately one month and would see tourists leaving St. Kitts, whether via the R. L. Bradshaw International Airport or Port Zante, being asked to participate in the survey.
“What do you think of St. Kitts?” and “Would you come back?” are just two of the questions that will be posed to the tourists; and according to the Manager of the HTA, Michael Head, these are “fundamental questions” but the answers are expected to be quite helpful in identifying areas that may need revamping.
“These are some very fundamental questions, but the answers should be highly informative. And if they indicate some things we should perhaps be doing to make our tourist product even better, we can start working with our members right away to try to bring about the sort of positive changes that visitors have told us they’ll notice and appreciate,” he was quoted as saying.
As disclosed in the press release, some of the questions to be asked of tourists exiting the island via the airport include:
“How have you enjoyed your vacation on St. Kitts? (Rate from 1 to 5).
Has St. Kitts met your expectations? (Rate from 1 to 5).
Will you return to St. Kitts for another vacation? Will you recommend St. Kitts to your friends?
Is there anything you would like to see on St. Kitts that would have made your vacation more enjoyable? Where did you stay?”
Questions to be posed to tourists departing the island via Port Zante include:
“Have you enjoyed your visit to St. Kitts? (Rate from 1 to 5). Would you come to St. Kitts for a vacation? Is there anything you would like to see on St. Kitts that would have made your vacation more enjoyable? How much did you spend in St. Kitts? (Voluntary question). Which boat did you come to St. Kitts on?”
The HTA has informed that results of this exercise would be made available to the public as soon as the information is compiled.
