~~Adz:Left~~ CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – TOP officials at Delta Petroleum Limited said a report carried by SKNvibes.com on Monday was misleading because there was no gasoline shortage in that company.

“We had enough stock to supply Nevis,” Regional Managing Director Vernon Lake said yesterday.  SKNVibes.com has since confirmed that motorists and cyclists who jammed Stanley’s Gas Station [a Delta outlet] on Thursday could not get gasoline from outlets normally supplied by another gasoline company.

Lake said Delta staff in Nevis worked during the Easter Weekend to ensure that the whole island was adequately supplied. Nevis Island Manager Sharon Hobson said she mobilised her staff to work over the Easter Weekend after she learnt that motorists were buying gasoline in a rush, “We have enough stock.”

On Thursday, random interviews conducted by SKNVibes.com at Stanley’s Gas Station revealed that motorists could not have gotten gasoline to purchase at certain outlets on Nevis, which are normally supplied by another company. Lake confirmed that the motorists also jammed Monkey’s Gas Station in Cotton Ground.
