BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST days after reports of a stabbing incident which transpired at the Washington Archibald High School [WAHS] that has left a third former injured, SKNVibes was able to confirm its authenticity.

This media house understands that on Tuesday, a few minutes before midday, a fourth former and a third former of the WAHS were involved in an altercation in which, as a sources inform, a “pocket knife” was used by the former student.

SKNVibes also understands that during the onslaught, the fourth form student stabbed the third former in the neck with the pocket knife.

Information surrounding the incident revealed that the mother of the injured student, who was apparently called to the school, arrived there shortly after and both she and her wounded child went to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to his neck.

The incident occurred in the schoolyard and this media house was reliably informed that the assailant fled the scene shortly inflicting the wound.

SKNVibes made a number of attempts to speak with the Principal of the school Clifford Govia, but on all occasions was told that he was in a meeting. Attempts were also made to contact the Vice Principal, Winston Hanley, but this media house was at first told that he was unavailable, and on other occasions was told he also was in a meeting.    ~~Adz:Right~~

However, Head of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Office, Inspector Cromwell Henry told SKNVibes that he is aware of the fact that an incident transpired at that learning institution on the said day, but he did not provide much details into the matter.

He informed that one person was arrested and charged with “wounding” in relation to the incident.

    Investigations continue.
