The “coconut water” men were happy to see us and even made a purchase
Press Release

Digicel’s Road Shows keep getting Bigger & Better!

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, November 3rd 2011 – Once again, the people of St. Kitts were treated to a Bigger and Better Road Show by Digicel. On Saturday 29th October, 2011 hundreds of existing customers and new customers enjoyed the day and mingled with some of the Digicel staff and crew, purchased phones and received complimentary prepaid credit.

Departing from Digicel’s Head Office at Port Zante, the first stop of the “Red Train” was the Ferry Terminal in Basseterre. Bystanders in the area, hanging out at the various snackettes took a few minutes to meet and greet the Digi Team and purchase handsets. The Coral 185 and Alcatel OT-208 handsets were the discounted, durable handsets available for purchase, both of which boast an FM radio, flashlight and colour screen display. The Digi Team then headed west around the island and made stops in the Village area, Old Road and Sandy Point. New customers were happy to join the Bigger, Better Network and could be seen using their handsets immediately after purchase. Everyone was able to share in on the giveaways of Digicel-branded gift bags with Digicel merchandise such as bandanas, t-shirts, hats and backpacks.

Marsha Chatterjee, Marketing Manager for Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis, who was present throughout the day said; “We are always excited about bringing the Digicel Store to the customers, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the Bigger, Better Network here in St. Kitts & Nevis.” She mentioned that Digicel Road Shows have become a popular hit in the island and will continue throughout the year.

During certain stops on the Digicel Road Show last week, villagers could be seen enjoying the musical entertainment provided by DJ Cool and dancing with the very animated Piece-a-Man and DJ Rucus. All in all, the Digicel Road Show was a success; the “Red Train” may be in your area next!
