Famous 90’s rapper Heavy D dies at age 44.

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – News reaching this media house states that the famous 1990’s rapper, Heavy D, died on Tuesday (Nov. 8) in the USA at age 44.

     

    According to www.abcnews.com, Heavy D died after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital and his cause of death was not immediately known

     

    Born on the island of Jamaica and named Dwight Arrington Meyers, Heavy D migrated at an early age to New York where he was raised and went on to become an actor, rapper, record producer and the leader of the popular 1990’s  Hip-Hop  group, Heavy D & the Boyz, from which he gained his stage name.

     

    Reports state that Heavy D was returning from a mall at around 11:30 a.m. and was climbing a set of stairs at his Beverly Hills condominium when he experienced trouble breathing,

     

    The staff tried to help him to his home but he collapsed. When police arrived, they found him conscious but still having difficulty breathing. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around noon, where he was pronounced dead.

     

    The cause of death will be determined by the coroner’s office, but police said there was no indication of foul play.”

     

    Heavy D made big collaborations with artiste such as the late, Michael Jackson with the hit song ‘Jam’ and Janet Jacksons’ ‘alright.’

     

    Funeral arrangements for the musical icon Dwight ‘Heavy D’ Meyers are yet to be announced.
