Particle Physicists will probably find the HIGGS BOSON, an elusive subatomic particle before Minister Condor and/or the Labour party initiates an investigation of the SOCIAL SECURITY-BEACON HEIGHTS SCANDALS.
As much as Sam Condor spoke of God and nation, deep within Sam Condor should know that he is not morally qualified to speak on matters of Social Security, to assure the people that all is well at Social Security. He did not give the public any hope that the 16 million dollars Social Security had in CLICO will be recovered.
St. Kitts is in a deep dilemma and mess with this present Labour party. Even the best in Labour seems to be of no good for the country’s future and welfare. Until this Labour government is removed and the people exert fair demands on a new party in government to TURN A NEW PAGE, St. Kitts will continue on this steep slippery slope to the abyss. Does anyone remember Sam Condor’s threatening language in Parliament pertaining to him recovering the money he had in British American? The hierarchy of Labour knew of BAICO’s imminent collapse and took out their money. That of Social Security was left and has been lost.
The Social Security Minister’s choice of words has not left the public or made the public ANYMORE COMFORTABLE. Sadly, SAM CONDOR spoke of the “UNFORTUNATE” leaking of the memo and the “CONTROVERSY” generated in the public. Sam also said that all the while he has been sitting in on the business and activities of Social Security.
Apparently the Minister wishes that the memo never got into the public’s (same public that pays into Social Security) domain, and possible NEVER WRITTEN. In all of this from the Minister down to the most ordinary Joe or Jane in Social Security are telling the public that SINCE THE MEMO MEASURES HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE TO CORRECT WHATEVER THE PROBLEMS WERE/ARE. This is how the main principals at Social Security CONTRADICT THEMSELVES. Accepting the explanation from Social Security, the MEMO SERVED A VITAL PURPOSE.
What has been called “A CONTROVERSY” should be in fact described as the public’s CONCERN AND WORRY. Many in the general public are aware of the collapse and crash of giant firms, eg., AIG, LEHMAN BROTHERS, BANK OF AMERICA, all of which prior to collapse presented to the public BALANCE SHEETS, SHOWING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS! In the Caribbean BAICO like the USA firms announced the night before the morning of their collapse that “ALL WAS WELL”.
According to the minister and the Labour government, at BEACON HEIGHTS, the houses would be “HI-TECH & STATE OF THE ART”. Same words/phrases used to describe the JNF HOSPITAL. Deeper thinking Kittitians are considering how marketable would ONE MILLION DOLLAR, HI-TECH AND STATE OF THE ART HOUSING be, when they are built practically RIGHT UNDER PLANE BOM BUM. A gated-community, retirees and elderly people practically the path of incoming and outgoing aircrafts. Maybe Social Security should now consider putting some of the 200 houses in another location.
Though deemed “UNFORTUNATE” the writing of the MEMO and its subsequent leakage has made Social Security more involved in the direct spending of money. The first paragraph of Mrs. Lawrence’s letter tells the story. Memo or no Memo the public was already aware that all was not well at BEACON HEIGHTS – BEACON HEIGHTS WAS NOT BEING THE FINANCIAL BEACON IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. Our people are now to accept that because the wrongdoings have been identified and corrective measures said to be put in place. THERE IS NO NEED FOR AN INVESTIGATION. Thank God the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and other aviation authorities do not take this approach.
Dr. Douglas told the nation that our Social Security was the strongest in the region; Sam Condor said we have dropped a peg from number one to number two. Today its number two, what will tomorrow bring? Apparently no one EYEBALLED the lands at Franklands before Social Security signed the check on the people’s behalf. With all the university graduates in Social Security, some, being as lazy as the Chairman, ONE OR TWO MUST BE VERSED IN THE COMPUTER AND THE USE OF THE INTERNET. Google earth could have presented a picture which the University graduate at Social Security could have accessed from their air conditioned offices. Lands adjacent to the “PIG IN BAG” purchase that Social Security made have already been sold. People who want to live in gated-communities, in HI-TECH, ONE MILLION DOLLAR, STATE OF THE ART HOUSING, do not usually want ordinary Joes and Janes as their neighbours.
More and more Social Security and the Labour government are getting into trouble. At least some of the 200 HIGH-TEC, STATE OF THE ART, ONE MILLION DOLLAR HOMES could have been put on the South East Peninsula. Based on what the South East Peninsula is supposed to produce Social Security could have reaped a harvest for our people. Based on all the money Social Security is spending it is becoming obvious that OUR MONEY, YES OUR MONEY, could over time develop the South East FOR OUR PEOPLE. BEACON HEIGHTS – TYPE HOMES IN THE SOUTH EAST PENINSULA CERTAINLY WOULD NOT BE UNDER AIRPLANE BOM BUM.
The Social Security, according to Sam, grew from 15 million in 1978. It would be good to know how many millions Labour met in 1995 so the people can calculate how much the fund grew under PAM. Labour has a history of being incapable of managing the People’s money. There has never been an account of the Christena Disaster Fund. After over 50 years of the Labour Union collecting the dues of its members and non-members in 1980 the people almost lost MASSES HOUSE. The big boys of Labour spent the Union money on Bourbon and concubines. Labour could not even replace the Union hearse when the old one expired.
Another issue emerging from the Social Security-BEACON HEIGHTS-CONTEC SCANDAL pertains to the reaction of those who champion the rights and opportunities of women. For her prudence and care Mrs. Lawrence has been sidelined and made to look irresponsible and has been traumatized. The silence and lack of support from those who usually defend and promote women is very noticeable and very disturbing. It seems as if they have TURNED THEIR BOM BUMS on the lady.
