Dominica beats Exodus in opening game of Sugar Creole Basketball Festival weekend

    Challengers , St.Kitts (November 12th 2011):-The Challengers Community Hardcourt and stadium was packed to capacity for the first game of the weekend long SKABA organized Sugar Creole Basketball Festival.

     

    Hundreds turned out to support their community team the SKABA “A”  division champions Challengers Exodus as they faced the 7’-2” Garth Joseph led Domnica national team.

     

    The match was very keenly contested as the Exodus gave the Dominicans all they could handle an more . However the visitors pulled away in the final quarter and won the game 67-59.

     

    Dominica

     

    •Garth Joseph- 26pts, 10 rebs, 5 blks
    •Davidson Toulon- 13 pts, 2 assists, 1 stl

     

    Challengers Exodus

     

    •Shawn Forbes- 27 pts, 13 rebs
    •Ansel Revan- 9 pts, 7 rebs, 4 stls
    •Javal Hodge- 11 pts, 3 assists, 5 stls

     

    The Dominicans next play the National Champions Ghaut Bucs tonight at Basketball City. The game will be preceded by a match-up between the St.Kitts and Nevis national teams.
