BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE reigning National Carnival Queen of St. Kitts and Nevis celebrated her upcoming birthday with an Egyptian style party, which also featured international DJ Skerrit Bwoy.

The event, ‘Judgment Time: The All Inclusive Egyptian Thrill’, was hosted by Vivid Media +Promo House Inc. and although it did not attract a bumper crowd, the fun and excitement surpassed expectations.

A variety of free finger foods, open bar, photo set-up, and top class entertainment made the night more than enjoyable.

The entertainment featured TNO sounds with its 15 years of  experience, Royalties Band with top vocalists Charles Miller Jr., Mic Stokes and Mikeila Armstrong, and the Sugar Band a.k.a. Nu Vybes Band Intl.

Skerrit Bwoy whose real name is Dale Richardson, in an interview with SKNVibes, said he was pleased to be back in St. Kitts once again after a four year absence.

His vibrant spirit, animated style and interaction with the crowd have brought him renown in the deejaying arena ever since he burst the scene in 2005.

Originally from Antigua, he has been entertaining venues in Antigua, Barbuda, St. Kitts, Jamaica, Anguilla, Montserrat, Germany, Canada, Germany, and a host of other countries, islands, and cities.
No place is too big or too small for the DJ.

“A lot of DJ’s when they start making money, they stop accepting certain gigs, but I am always happy to travel to see and tap into other countries. When I did my Asian tour I made sure I went to Cambodia, when I go Antigua I have to touch Barbuda,” he said.

In terms of future gigs, he said that in December he will be going to Brazil and in March and April he will be doing a European tour and cross-country USA tour respectively.

Based in the Bronx, Skerrit Bwoy along with his Ghetto Life Entertainment is said to be ushering in a dancehall renaissance.

His set at ‘Judgment time’, though unexpected when he started off playing alternative music, definitely had the crowd moving prior to Nu Vybes Band coming in. They then had the crowd going ‘til a morning’.

Note to Nu Vybes Band: Your 2001 unmatched hit ‘People’s Sugar’, certainly earned you the name as Sugar Band, however, over the years, and through trials and tribulations, came a breakthrough for the band and there is a definitely a need for another ‘sugar centered hit’ song.

‘People’s Sugar’ was only one pound of sweetness and as the song goes, one pound ‘ain’t enough’.
