‘Hurry Dog eat Raw corn’ to be shown in Anguilla

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE riveting and intriguing local movie, ‘Hurry dog eat raw corn’ will touch the shores of Anguilla this month end as local dramatist, Moses Byron presents an insightful movie that promises to make a positive impact on children and adults.

     

    For three consecutive days, ‘Hurry dog eat raw corn’ will be shown at the Rodney MacArthur Rey Auditorium in Anguilla.

     

    On Nov.28th, Primary schools and the general public will view the film while on the 29th and 30th High Schools will have the opportunity to study and enjoy this thought-provoking movie.

     

    In an interview with Byron, he stated that the movie is one that will send a more profound message to teenagers especially, the message being that when people ‘hurry’ in life, in the end they tend to suffer, thus the name ‘hurry dog eat raw corn.’

     

    Byron, who has been a playwright for over thirty years, made mention that this, his first movie, starring Rae-Dawn Thomas, Dion Browne and Ashanta Williams was produced in 2009 and has been doing exceptionally well to date.

     

    ‘Hurry dog eat raw corn’ has been shown in the islands of St. Kitts, St. Eustatius, St. Maarten and is now making its grand appearance in Anguilla.

     

    This event has been made possible by the Ministry of Education in Anguilla.

     

    A confident and proud Moses Byron stated that he has no intention on slowing down his play-writing actvities as he is currently working on two other stage plays, namely ‘After the wedding’ and ‘Chiefy run tings’

     

    Additionally, the play, ‘Marry man money sweet’ is scheduled to be transformed into a movie sometime next year. This will then be Byron’s second film.
