BASSETERRE St. Kitts, Novemebr 22nd 2011 - The Molineaux Community Group was founded on Sunday 28th, August 2011. Our theme, “Let’s Grow Together” embodies the spirit of yesteryear when the Molineaux Community was vibrant in not just sports but memories linger about the highly contested and anticipated ‘Village Competitions’ that were held.
Our Main Objectives are:
- Clean and beautify the community
- Note concerns of the residents (particularly the elderly and youth)and assist in any way we can
To date a number of projects have been undertaken by the group:
- Cleaning of the Molineaux Primary School grounds
- Cleaning of the Molineaux Health Centre grounds
- Cleaned other areas around the village
- Replaced toilets at Mary Charles Hospital
Pending projects include:
- Replacement of fence at the Molineaux Health Centre
- Cleaning & painting of the Molineaux Health Centre
- Replacement of Fence of the Mary Charles Hospital
- Continuous upkeep of the bus stop surroundings
- Term upkeep of the Molineaux Primary School grounds
The members of the Molineaux Community Group have worked laboriously to accomplish all that they have in the two short months since inception.
They have made a conscientious decision to pay monthly dues, raise funds and meet once per month, first Thursdays in every month to set out plans for the month. Fellow villagers who wish to participate are invited to attend our regularly scheduled meetings. We are proud to say that our decision making processes are fair, transparent and interactive.
The Molineaux Community Group would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have sponsored our initiatives and welcome partnerships with other governmental, private and non-governmental institutions who are community minded and forward thinking.
Under the theme “Molineaux Community... let’s grow together”, a vibrancy that embodies the true meaning of community will once again emerge.
