Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, November 24th 2011 – The St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited (SKELEC) has announced that over the coming weekend, it will embark on a significant milestone in the company’s mission to provide a reliable electricity supply to its customers.

Chief Technical Officer John Krupski stated that, “an essential step in the company’s Reliability Improvement Programme will require interruption in the island’s electricity supply on Saturday and Sunday for a period of 75 minutes.

In order to effect changes at the Needsmust Power Station, electricity supply will be interrupted on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 6:00am and 7:15am and all customers will be affected.”

SKELEC regrets any inconveniences that these scheduled interruptions in electricity supply may cause and reiterates its commitment to provide reliable electricity supply to all of its customers.
