Friday (Nov. 25)
Independence Square (Basseterre)
The official opening of Sugar Mas 2011/2012 will exhibit what Carnival has in store for many this year.
Witness performances by folklore groups, OkoloTegramantine, Shakki Star Fire, Mic Stokes; Sponsorships by LIME & National Bank; Introduction of Princes, Princesses, Talented Teens, Carnival Queens; Launch of Carnival Parade Troupes; Presentation of Jouvert Troupes; Special Announcement; Remarks by Carnival Officials; Performance by Ellie Matt & Explainer; Youth Pan Competition and many more enthralling acts of Carnival.
The explosion kicks off at 5:00p.m.
Ziggy’s Bar/Frigate Bay Beach Strip
After the warmth of Carnival settles within you, head over to Ziggy’s Bar where a mixture of Reggae, R&B and Dancehall music by DJ Gallis will surely end your week right from 9:00 p.m. until you call it ‘a day’, or you can bar-hop with locals and visitors. All congregate in the name of a good lime.
Potential Bar and Restaurant
Located in the heart of Basseterre, Potential Bar will feature DJ Yardy, who will rock the venue by kicking off the Carnival weekend lime with a mixture of music that eases the mind, soothes the soul and even shakes the stress.
Club One (formerly Sugars)
Party at Club One located at Frigate Bay as DJ Cas - the Soca DJ - will be mixing up a variety of music. This happens each and every Friday

Club Kactus
‘Kaiso-Kaiso!’ a clash of the Proud Sounds and Legends Calypso Tent will be featured at Club Kactus starting at 7:30 p.m.
Witness performances by Queen Anastasia, Hot Rod, Willy and many more Calypso Favourites.
Saturday (Nov. 5)
Ziggy’s Bar/Frigate Bay Beach Strip
Why not double the fun? After a great Friday lime, get another dose of sweet pulsating music as DJ Flames will be ‘turning tables’ at Ziggy’s Bar and Grill from 9:00p.m. until.
Lime Grounds
One of the island’s well known and favoured DJs, Leslie ‘Sugar Bowl’ Morton will be hosting his 9th annual birthday bash this coming Saturday (Nov. 26) at the Lime Grounds.
Three of the federation’s biggest bands; Kollision, Grand Masters and Small Axe are scheduled to rock the outskirts of the venue while DJ Cool, DJ Flex, Triple S – Sweet Sista Sensia, DJ Yardy and Heineken Evolution Sounds will turn tables.
Legends and Proud Sounds Calypso Tent at Fat Tuesday (Basseterre)
For the Calypso lovers, the clash of the Legends and Proud Sounds Calypso tent will be held at Fat Tuesday situated in Basseterre featuring some of this year’s calypsonians competing in the 40/40 mas celebration.
Sunday (Nov. 27)
Ziggy’s Bar/Frigate Bay Beach Strip
According to Rod Schmidt, “There are not enough days in the weekend.”
However just before you prepare for another working week, have a few drinks and enjoy a serene view of the Caribbean Sea as DJ Yardy will give you a final chance to ‘shake your groove thing.’
DJ Yardy will be mixing down the weekend from 9:00p.m. until about 2:00a.m.
Proud Sounds Calypso Tent at Bobsy’s Bar and Grill
The carnival atmosphere continues as the Grand Masters Band presents another night of splendour for Calypso lovers.
Commencing at 8:00 p.m. the Proud Sounds calypsonians will again entertain calypso lovers at Bobsy’s Bar and Grill located at Frigate Bay.
