BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - EACH YEAR the best students and teachers from the various High Schools in the Federation are recognized for their academic excellence but rarely do we learn who they are.
For the last twenty two years LIME has sponsored the ‘Academic Excellence’ Dinner and this year it was held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on November 18, 2011. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce initiated this Ceremony twenty five years ago.
These students and their teachers are testimony to the fact that hard work pays dividends and we ought to applaud them publicly for their stature as role models and for being the tips of the arrows in a moving and developing country.
“We must do all that we can, to give our children the best in education and social upbringing - for while they are the youth of today, they shall be the leaders of tomorrow.
John F. Kennedy (1917-63)
“Persistence is the twin sister of Excellence. One is a matter of quality; the other, a matter of time. – Marabel Morgan
