    Eight arrested and charged

    ~~Adz:Right~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - MONDAY and Tuesday saw a total of eight persons arrested and charged in connection with offences in which they were believed to have been involved.

     

    Newton Ground Villager Dale Rochester was arrested and charged for “possession of cannabis with intent to supply” while a juvenile of Mad House Alley was arrested and charged with the “possession of an illegal substance” to wit, cannabis.
     
    “Carrying abroad an offensive weapon” was the charge brought against Tabernacle resident Crispin Carey.

     

    Devon Maynard of Newtown, Fiennes Avenue resident Mervin Jeremy, St. Pauls villager Kenya Dickenson, Conrad Clarke of Basseterre and Wades Garden resident Herbert Carty were jointly arrested and charged on Monday with the offence of ‘battery’.

     

    Conrod Clarke of Basseterre was charged for building breaking and larceny, and offence he allegedly committed on April 13, 2008.

     

    “Wounding with intent” was the charge preferred against Basil Brade of East Street, Newtown.  Police state that the offence was committed on April 19, 2008.

     

    “Building breaking and larceny” and “receiving” were the offences with which Adrian Taylor of Fort Thomas Road was charged. The offences are believed to have been committed on February 28, 2008 and April 20, 2008 respectively.
    Old Road resident Annie Peets was arrested and charged for wounding.

     

    All the aforementioned persons are expected to appear before one of the Federation’s magistrate courts shortly to answer to their charges.
