Banker Mas’ Camp ’40 Naughty’ is the SPIRIT of carnival!

Press Release

BASSETERRE St.Kitts, December 7th 2011 -  Forty days and forty nights of bacchanal just got better with the long-awaited launch of this year’s Banker Mas Camp parade day troupe ‘Somewhere in Taiwan’, set for this Saturday in Sandy Point.

All roads lead to the Sandy Point Hard Court where the launch kicks off at 7:00 pm and will give you a taste of just what Banker has up his sleeves for the biggest Sugar Mas’ celebrations in history! The host of the launch is the community group SPIRIT, and organizers are revved for a buzz of colour, hype and music to officially launch the renowned parade house!

The launch of ‘Somewhere in Taiwan’ will be a fiery night of performances by local acts, culminating in the biggest release in this year’s 40 days of merry-making.  Soca warrior Shakki, and remarkable talent from the underground Kash Man, DC, Mighty Ace and Calyspo Craig will be there to entertain the crowd. Music provided by none other than the Collision Band and by Unstoppable Sound, which promises to be one eventful night!

SPIRIT has had its own success with the 2010 launch of one of the nation’s largest community festivals, Black San Bang-A-Lang, and in the words of SPIRIT President Treasa Wyatt, working with Banker Mas’ Camp this year is a ‘’fusion of community and culture’’!

‘’SPIRIT is really excited about our partnership in launching what must be one of the most popular carnival talents in the Eastern Caribbean.

Banker has built a name for himself and his signature parade costumes and colourful displays are the envy of neighbouring islands.

‘’We’ve seen through our very own Black San’ just how effective culture is as a tool to bring people together and we couldn’t think of a better partnership for the 40/40 Celebrations!’’ Wyatt said.

Come out and support the indomitable Banker and see just what exciting packages would be available for the grand parade, one o the highlights of the 40/40 calendar. SPIRIT wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Carnival season!
